It does not host government records and is not affiliated with a town office, the county's historical or judicial institutions, a state agency, a court, or another records custodian.

2. Lawful Use Rules

Use the reference only for lawful, responsible purposes. Neither the pages nor information reached through them may be used to:

3. No Consumer Reports

Fairfield Residents Directory is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq. Nothing on these pages, and nothing returned by a linked search tool, is a consumer report. It must not be used to assess eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or another purpose covered by the FCRA.

4. External Links

Government portals, libraries, archives, and sponsored search providers publish their own terms and privacy policies. Fairfield Residents Directory does not control their content, availability, charges, or data handling.

5. No Warranties

The reference is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. No promise is made that a page is accurate, complete, or current, or that an outside portal will work or return a correct result.

6. Liability Limits

To the fullest extent allowed by law, the operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from use of this reference or an outside resource, including a decision made from a record located through it.

7. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold the operators harmless from a claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, that results from your misuse of the reference or breach of these terms.

8. Intellectual Property

The original writing, design, logo, and layout are protected by copyright. Linking to a page and quoting a short, attributed excerpt are welcome. Republishing a full page or systematically copying the material is not.

9. Changes to These Terms

A revised version may be posted here at any time. Use after a revision is posted means the updated terms are accepted.

10. Access Restrictions

Access may be blocked or limited when a user violates these terms or abuses the reference, at the operators’ discretion and without advance notice.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by Connecticut law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. The Connecticut Freedom of Information Act, CGS §§ 1-200 through 1-242, and the Connecticut Data Privacy Act, CGS chapter 743jj, may govern a records or data question within their stated scope and exceptions.

12. Severability

If a court finds one provision unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect.
